Hopper News Chronicle - May, 2005

May, 2005 June, 2005 Sept., 2005
Oct. 2005 Nov. 2005 Dec. 2005
May 27, 2005 - Pilot Reports are in for the long leg to Greenland. Powered by La Fin Du Monde, this leg wouldn't seem like one that would be filled with adventure, but it ended up that way. Find out how an errant little Cessna can almost ruin your day by clicking here...
May 25, 2005 - Submitted for your approval, our latest beer review. This time it's La Fin du Monde centered in our crosshairs, a wonderfully flavored Canadian brew whose head could support a cherry...
May 22, 2005 - Take the experience just a little further by checking out our new Flight Sim Traveler's Guide Series. Our first edition features Greenland, with a profile on the country, local beer information and even some scenery downloads to enhance the experience. Enjoy!.
May 20, 2005 - We are pleased to invite our friends in the flight sim community to visit our brand new FORUMS! They aren't as fancy as some, but we hope that they will be the building blocks for a creative group of enthusiasts. Post beer reviews, share your own PIREPs and of course, there is a pub!
May 19, 2005 - Pilot Reports have been filed for the journey from Halifax, Nova Scotia to Port Hope Simpson in Labrador. The crew had a cloud hopping time of it, daring not to look back less they fall victim to the spell of Maudit beer. If the Captain would only worry so much about the autopilot...
May 17, 2005 - There is an old Quebecoise legend about a flying canoe that provides the backstory for Maudite, another fine beer from Unibroue. Find out how this brew became "the Damned Beer" as we give it our full attention in this review...
May 15, 2005 - The Hopper squashed a bug in FS2004 - Well, we brought it to mind. There is an anololous Nuke Plant sprouted up next to Halifax Shearwater (CYAW) and we questioned it's accuracy. Low and behold, it is a bug and there is a fix. Click here to get it. Thanks to Marc Renaud for the fix and to Peter for finding it...
May 13, 2005 - Pilot Reports have been filed for the trip from Montreal to Halifax. Seems the crew took a detour of sorts, dipping back into the states for a pitstop in Bangor, ME. Read the PIREPs here (flight005) and here (flight 006).
May 12, 2005 - SURPRISE! Guess who stopped over in Bangor, Maine during their trip to Halifix?! While there, the crew picked up the wrong beer from Sea Dog Brewing Company...
May 12, 2005 - Quebec's Trois Pistoles is in the house and has been reviewed for your beer-loving pleasure. We got quite the kick from this one...
May 11, 2005 - Ruud Faber's fabulous FScene World Scenery sets have been installed and we are amazed by the difference it has made in the fidelity of this experience! If you want to bring that tired, old MS default texture mapping alive, than we suggest that you visit www.FScene.com and give these packages a looksee. He has all the seasons covered and every continent this side of Antartica has been splendiferously rendered. Thanks, Ruud!
May 7, 2005 - Reviews of two fantastic brews from the Dogfish Head Craft Brewery, Raison D'Etre and ApriHop, have been added to the site...
May 4, 2005 - The Flight of The Hopper has left the boundaries of the United States for the first time! During this adventure from Milton, DE to Montreal, the crew discovered some things about their new PC-12 flight model and some GPS realities. Powered by Dogfish Head brews, this flight was a challenging delight. Read more about it here...
May 3, 2005 - The crew of The Hopper have taken delivery on a new version of the Pilatus PC-12 and it is an absolute joy to fly. With an improved flight model and the ability to customize paint schemes, this upgrade was a no-brainer. Now, we even have "Hopper" on the tail! For more information on getting this aircraft into your hangar, please visit Flight1 Software...
