La Défense
During our last stay in Paris, we had an inexpensive hotel way off the beaten path in the La Défense business district right next to La Grande Arche, which on this particulary cold February night looked very cool...

Mona Zhen Arch
After an olympic night of drinking draft St. Bernardus and numerous other quality beer libations at Le Bon in South Miami Beach, the walk back to the car was derailed for some craziness (while Birago lost his car). There are a few more of these that I'll dig up later on...

looking forward in reverse
this was shot in a hotel room, i really liked how the early-century people in the painting appear to be staring out a window in the the real modern world.

i have no legs
this was shot in San Francisco a few years ago. I love the disattached illusion.

ps - the post title is a very obscure dialog reference to a subway scene in NYC from the 1995 movie, Kids. (I know DJ remembers this one!)

sand shadows
I love shadows, and I'm not too particular on where they are cast. In this case, it was during the Air & Sea Show on Ft. Lauderdale Beach in May 2005.

see the flying haggis
Unbeknownst to many North American's, if you look very closely, you can occasionally spot a flying haggis with the unaided naked eye; as pointed out below by Steven to Ty in a downtown Atlanta hotel room.

pool shadow map
as a kid, I loved the water and spent a significant portion of my early years partially submerged in the family pool. i remember closing my eyes, going underwater, curling up into a ball, and spinning myself on various axis', after 15 seconds or so i'd stop, and try to orient myself back to the original position I started in. Lucky for me, I did this back in the early 80s, eluding the satellite's that today would have captured a bizarre floating kid in pool photo and made me famous(?) for 15 minutes on some distant website that tracks down satellite imagery oddities.
Anyway, what we have here is a screen enclosure casting a street map like shadow into the always mesmerizing pool.

my junk tastes like tuna
while i don't intend to turn this blog into another dumping ground for pet pics (get your fix of that here), we do have 5 animals... 2 cats and 3 dogs, and they each have their own distinct personalities which I will attempt to occasionally share with you here.
Below we have Benjamin, sometimes referred to around the house as the fat fuck, we don't leave the tv on for him (hold your kitty pr0n jokes), so he gets bored often, which typically means he cleans his junk, alot, in fact, its just a hairless lump of cat goodness down there. Observe:

a concert in central park
i recently flew to new york city with only the clothes on my back for 32 hours, hung out with new and old friends, drank beer, lots of red bull, saw underworld in central park (below), digweed @ pacha, hailed a cab at 5am during a rainy shift change and made it back to LaGuardia for a flight home. slept on plane.

my photo diarrhea
so i couldn't even make it past the subject without having a potty-mouth, how sad.
i used to take alot of pictures, recently not so much, but I really should do it more often, and maybe I will if i have an outlet to do so, which is why this photoblog was created.

This is actually a track off of BT's Ima
(no amazon affiliate link on that one, but I like to reference alot of random shit so future posts will likely have it) I needed some kind of photo reference, Available Light was probably taken (yup, and parked! http://availablelight.blogspot.com/), and there you have it.
Whats else... inspiration.
